Electromobility: Coalition wants faster charging network expansion

The traffic light coalition wants to accelerate the expansion of the charging infrastructure for electric cars. The focus should be placed on fast charging infrastructure, as stated in the coalition agreement presented on Wednesday by the SPD, Greens and FDP. “We are counting on the mobilization of private investments,” they say. “Where competitive solutions do not work, we will establish the reliable accessibility of charging points with supply requirements, where structurally possible.” A comprehensive charging network is a prerequisite for the breakthrough of e-mobility.
