ECG and blood pressure measurement on the Huawei Watch D knowledge list

In China, sales of the square smartwatch have already begun.

With fewer phones (respect for the bendable exception), but with more gadgets and other devices, Huawei is now emerging, and in a few months, the family that can be worn on the wrist has grown nicely. First, the Watch 3 Pro arrived at peak with eSIM and then sportier Watch GT 3 with a very nice female variation and now suitable for general health tracking Watch D appeared – in China for now.

Its two main virtues have been highlighted above: the gadget also has an electrocardiograph and a blood pressure monitor, of course it should not be seen as a medical-accurate device. It is free to look at because after round hours it got a more characteristic design on 51 x 38 x 13.6 millimeters in unisex size, with a strap 13.3 or 11.8 centimeters long as preferred. Surprisingly, the IP68 protection ensures that dust, moisture, rain and stagnant water are kept away, and you should not swim, dive or shower under the high-pressure water jet with the Watch D, but this is not the focus either.

With a special strap and small airbags, Huawei TruBP solves wrist blood pressure measurements within ± 3mmHg. The TruSeen 5.0+ system is connected to the ECG function with photoelectric sensors and PVD-coated electrodes to screen for interference and can predict atherothrombosis (atherosclerosis), arrhythmia (arrhythmia) and sleep apnea. Of course, you have blood oxygen saturation and heart rate measurement, sleep and stress monitoring, dozens of exercise and sports tracking, plus the Huawei Health back-end system.

Likewise, the six-axis gyroscope and accelerometer, thermometer and hall sensor, as well as GPS, NFC and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, are the Watch D smart widgets that connect wirelessly to at least HarmonyOS version 2, Android 6.0 or iOS 12 phones. The 40.9-gram aluminum frame encloses a 1.64 “and 280 x 456-pixel AMOLED panel that is sharp enough to display standard content, notifications, and more, and the manufacturer promises one week of operation per charge under typical use.

Because it’s not very easy to validate a device with a sphygmomanometer and ECG in every market, in the short term, the Watch D, blessed with a touch screen, home page, and health buttons, doesn’t seem to show up everywhere with a full list of features. In China, in any case, it opened at 3,000 yuan, around 150,000 forints.
