The Microsoft team is releasing an updated version for the Photos application in Windows 11. Not only will you find a change in the organization of functions, but new options are also added.
So if you don’t have an image editor installed on your Windows 11 computer, you can give this Microsoft proposal a try.
Windows 11 renews its photo editor
One of the changes that you will find, with this update of the Photos app in Windows 11You will see it in the “Crop” tool. Not only does it change locations, but it also provides more information before editing.
For example, you can choose a format for cropping images, taking into account the most popular formats on social networks. Or if you prefer to do the cropping manually, moving the image controls, you will see that the Photos application will show you the resolution of the area you want to crop.
And if you take a look at the “Adjustment” section you will see that some functions disappear and only the basic tools for editing images are included, such as brightness, exposure, contrast, lights, color, etc. If you want to go from manual editing and only want to focus on the filters, you will see that Photos adds new options. And of course, you will still find the tool to “Auto enhance” images.
On the other hand, if you want to draw, point, write or highlight any area on the image, you will have to go to the “Review” section. And don’t worry, there are still the functions to zoom, reset the changes or save the edit as a copy.
To see this update in the Windows 11 Photos app, you don’t need to be part of the Insiders program, just go to the Microsoft Store, search for “Microsoft Photos” and click on the “Update” option.
