An interesting variation of the 8i with lower image refresh but more modern hardware.
The more memorable Realme mobile turned up with us last year and bar into the top 3 we wouldn’t do the 8i, however, offered a 120 Hz IPS panel at a sympathetic price with a nimble MediaTek Helio G96 chip. The sequel to the debut in Vietnam is almost the same in size (164.4 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm, 190 grams) and screen parameters (6.6 “, 1080 x 2412 pixels), with 16 on the front and 50 + 2 on the back. (macro) + 2 megapixel camera (depth of field) completely.
The changes are mixed: the Realme 9i has switched from 120 to an adaptive 90 Hz IPS panel with 180 Hz touch sensing. At the same time, the 6nm Snapdragon 680 4G chip is more economical and potentially more powerful, supported by the Adreno 610 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be expanded with an additional 5GB of virtual memory – the latter with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage offers. In addition, microSD expansion is provided in the three-socket tray, and if we’re already here: the stereo speaker, jack output and Type-C USB port are also available.
Through the latter, a 5,000 mAh battery can be charged with a 33-watt adapter, which isn’t bad in the lower half of the mid-range, and the packaging also hides a case in addition to the standard one. As it is a 4G phone, it is obviously not about using 5G networks, and the Asian edition will save up on the B20 LTE band, but if you visit Europe on the Realme 9i, it will definitely be on the supported list. Converted from Vietnamese đồng, the price tag of HUF 90,000 seems appropriate from the point of view of the specification, but we cannot yet say whether it is planned to introduce it here with this list of knowledge and price.
