Under its airs of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Motorola Razr 3 intends to bring flip smartphones up to date.
Presented in 2020, the Motorola Razr 2 just found a replacement. The brand leaked this week the technical details of its Razr 3. Discovered by XDA Developers, the successor to the American brand’s clamshell smartphone will probably be equipped with an improved processor, and a much more powerful camera.
Until then reserved for a niche audience, the Motorola Razr had not yet succeeded in establishing itself as real smartphones for everyday consumption, no doubt eclipsed. by the success of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. The next model could however offer a much more upscale positioning.
According to the leaks reported by XDA Developers, the Motorola Razr 3 would thus benefit from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, much more powerful than the Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 710 which its predecessors were satisfied with. The smarpthone would also support UWB technology, NFC, and integrate up to 12 GB of RAM depending on the model. The storage space will vary between 128 and 512 GB.
Return to the smartphone market
Regarding its cameras too, Motorola would have chosen to take its Razr 3 to the next level. At the front, there will thus be a notch housing a 32 Mpx sensor. At the rear, XDA reports a 50 Mpx main module coupled to a 13 Mpx ultra-wide angle. The screen would consist of a beautiful 6.7-inch FHD AMOLED panel, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
If Motorola had its heyday in the 2000s, with the advent of flip phones, the brand has not really succeeded in its turn towards the tactile. Yet in recent years, it has experienced an unexpected return with the arrival on the market of folding smartphones.
Powered by its Razr range, Motorola has finally taken the modern train in motion, offering models that mix its iconic flap, and the power of a high-end smartphone. The opportunity for a brand to impose itself (finally) with the general public.
