The Fiat 500 X is updated with a front closer to its electric brother 500e

The fact that there is a common ‘family resemblance’ between all the models in the range is already a deeply rooted custom between the brands. Apart from that, each one has its own rhythm of updates in order to maintain this philosophy. In the case of Fiat continues to do things the American way. That is, presenting novelties of low depth each year.

Now it is the turn of the 500 X, the SUV whose aesthetic inspiration drinks directly from the 500 urbanite. And so it will continue thanks to the new front that opens for 2022, where the chrome whisker gives way to a flat radiator grille presided over by a new ‘500’ emblem similar to that of the 500e. On the back, the letters ‘FIAT’ are added above the number plate.

Fiat has revealed the new face of the 500 X as part of the presentation of the new special series RED, created in collaboration with the NGO of the same name. Along with the 500 X and 500e, the Type and the Panda will also have this finish, characterized by the red tone of the bodywork.

In addition to color, this special edition poses a exclusive upholstery with matching stitching in red and distinctive emblems on the front door pillars. In the case of the 500 X, it is based on the Cross variant, which provides the contrast of the lower moldings in silver.

For the above the standard equipment is also the same, including dual-zone climate control, cruise control, fog lights, rear parking sensor or the media system with DAB digital radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Thus, the 500 X RED joins the rest of the range, made up of the Cult, Club and the more complete Cross and Sport finishes. To this offer must be added the Dolcevita variant, with electrically operated canvas roof.

Finally the mechanical offer maintains the current Firefly gasoline block, three-cylinder and 120 hp with a six-speed manual transmission. At the moment it is unknown if the current Multijet diesel will remain in the catalog, as well as the prices of the 2022 range for Spain.
