Audi: Two new works councils on the supervisory board

The long-standing Audi works councils Helmut Spth and Rolf Klotz retired at the turn of the year and resigned from their seats on the Audi Supervisory Board. The 39-year-old works council member from Ingolstadt, Karola Frank, and the 36-year-old Neckarsulm works council member, Alexander Reinhart, are the successors to the supervisory body. They were named by the general works council and the management of the trustee body, as a works council spokesman said on Friday.

Karola Frank is a trained vehicle painter, master craftsman for warehousing and transport, and business mediator. She was elected to the works council in 2009, has been a board member of IG Metall Deutschland since 2018 and a member of the Audi general works council since 2021. Mechatronics technician Alexander Reinhart was elected to the Neckarsulm works council in 2014 and has been a member of the general works council since 2018. In 2021 he became Deputy Chairman of the Works Council in Neckarsulm and a member of the Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG.

Although the VW subsidiary Audi is no longer listed, it is still a stock corporation. The Supervisory Board, with ten shareholder and employee representatives each, appoints and dismisses the members of the Management Board and monitors and advises the Management Board on management. The head of the supervisory board is VW CEO Herbert Diess, and his deputy is head of the general works council Peter Mosch. (dpa/swi)
