Windows 11 SE devices that will compete against chromebooks in education

Chromebooks snatched the leadership of Apple devices in the educational sector, thanks to their low cost, and now Microsoft wants to face them through devices under Windows 11 SE, its version of Windows with which it will try to rival Chrome OS in low-cost devices for the educational segment, and which was presented last November.

With this in mind, Microsoft has just introduced the first devices under Windows 11 SE, including laptops, tablets and convertibles, which will begin to arrive over the next few weeks worldwide, and belonging to renowned partners such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, Lenovo, among others.

Education in the technological spotlight

The most curious thing is that many of the manufacturers seem to be repurposing existing models to bring to market under Windows 11 SE.

This is the case, for example, of Acer with its TravelMate Spin B3 laptop model, a low-cost laptop with an 11″ screen, prepared to cushion falls and anti-spill liquids on the keyboard, and whose units focused on the segment of education will arrive with Windows 11 SE.

And so many other manufacturers.

For Microsoft:

The introduction of Windows 11 SE in November marked the beginning of a new era in education. Designed and built during the pandemic to address the most fundamental challenges schools face in the world of blended learning, it delivers resource-optimizing performance enhancements on low-cost devices to deliver more comprehensive learning experiences, and it’s easy to deploy and manage.

Also keep in mind that These devices can only be purchased by customers belonging to the educational sector, so they will not be available to private users, as devices can be Chromebooks.

To the wave of devices announced today, new devices belonging to Fujitsu and Positivo will be added at the end of the year.

Above all this cast of devices, Microsoft understands that:

Parents and educators will love the durability and reliability, while students will enjoy the power and performance.

Over time we will see the results of this technological commitment focused on the educational field, both for face-to-face classes and for distance classes. We leave you with the details of the models officially presented in the following link:
