The countdown begins. See you in a few weeks to discover the new Samsung Galaxy S22.
The suspense is coming to an end. Barely a few weeks after the formalization of the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung is about to bring its new S22 range to life. A particularly awaited series, since like every year, leaks and rumors suggest premium flagships, equipped with a data sheet (and a price) at the top. This weekend, the Korean brand put an end to speculation, confirming its February Unpacked on video. An event that should be an opportunity to officially present the Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra, but also to discuss the new Galaxy Tab S8, which would also have an Ultra version this year.
If the exact presentation date is not yet known – rumors point to a range between February 8 and 11 – there is very little doubt about the content of the conference announced by Samsung. We already know the design of the new flagships, as well as a good part of their technical data sheet. According to rumors, the range will thus offer particularly bright screens, as well as a processor Exynos 2200 or a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from Qualcomm (for devices marketed in the United States). The S22 under Exynos will also benefit from a GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture.
On the photo side, we expect a triple rear sensor consisting of a 50 Mpx APN, associated with an ultra wide-angle and a telephoto lens for the S22 and S22 + models. The Ultra version will benefit from a quadruple sensor, with a main lens of 108 Mpx, an ultra wide-angle of 12 Mpx, a telephoto lens of 10 Mpx (zoom x3), and a periscope x10 of 10 Mpx. In addition to its impressive specs, the most high-end model in the series should end upbury the Note range, by offering native integration of the S-Pen stylus, as well as a charging base in its chassis. Logically, it is also she who will propose the most original design.
“Breaking the Codes”
See you in a few days to find out the exact date of Samsung’s next Unpacked, which the brand is already promising to be exceptional. In one Press release signed by Dr. TM Roh, President of Samsung Electronics, mention is thus made of “the most remarkable S-Series we have ever created”. Just that.
