A few months ago, WhatsApp began to enable the possibility of transfer chats from an iPhone to a mobile with Android 12.
Now, the Meta mobile messaging application is working on the implementation of a similar tool, but with the dynamic now in the opposite direction: the transfer of chats from WhatsApp on Android to a new installation on an iOS device.
Soon it will be possible to transfer WhatsApp chats from an iPhone to an Android mobile
This novelty was announced by WABetaInfo, a portal specialized in WhatsApp and the functions that are tested through its beta editions before its final launch, which reported the arrival of this feature in beta version 188.8.131.52 for iOS.
As can be seen in the screenshots attached to this note, which were originally shared in the aforementioned report, through this new function WhatsApp will request permission to import the chat history before starting the process, following a mode similar to the dynamic already known for the transfer of chats from iOS to Android. To carry out the migration of the chats, it will be essential to have the application Move to iOS and keep the screen of both devices on to avoid interruptions.
In everyday use, it is common to assimilate WhatsApp as a replacement for phone calls, SMS and any other online alternative. Considering that, conversation histories acquire value over time, since they end up becoming reference material for the future. For this reason, getting rid of this information is not an easy decision to make and until recently, prior to the start of the deployment of this possibility, changing the mobile operating system was in most cases synonymous with starting from scratch in WhatsApp.
As of now, the specific supported versions of both operating systems are unknown. No details on possible launch dates of this function are indicated either. However, considering that this dynamic is already available to transfer chats from iPhone to Android, the same process in the reverse direction should not take long to be available.
