How to create your own GIFs on Twitter using the camera on iOS

While there is no shortage of options for sharing GIFs on social media, Twitter wants to make the process even easier for you.

As announced by the Twitter team, it is now possible to create and share a GIF from the iOS app using the camera.

Twitter has a new feature for GIFs

If you are one of those who like to share GIF in Twitter, it will help you to have the new dynamics proposed by the app for iOS. You can create your GIFs directly in the app Twitterwithout resorting to other tools.

And for this, only a few steps are required. Just tap on the “New Tweet” button and then tap on the camera icon and select “GIF”. Just hold the record button to capture your GIF and you’re good to go.

Once you create the GIF you will see that it offers you a preview. If you are satisfied with the creation, then all you have to do is click on “Use GIF” to insert it in the tweet or in a response.

One detail to keep in mind is that Twitter does not offer options to share it outside the platform, or to download it to your mobile. You can only use the option “Copy GIF address” that you will find by right-clicking.

At this time, this new built-in GIF camera feature is only available in the Twitter app for iOS. And they have not yet mentioned when they will bring this option to the Android app. So Android users will have to wait to see how this new dynamic works to create and share tweets without leaving the application.
