Ibeo Automotive Systems: New management structure for sustainable growth

Ibeo Automotive Systems strengthens its management. Stefan Gros joins the company to take on the position of Chief Financial Officer at the supplier. The previous Program Director ibeoNext, Christophe Minster, fills the newly created position of Chief Operation Officer. The appointment was made in close coordination with Ibeo’s shareholders ZF Friedrichshafen and AAC Technologies. Company founder and partner Ulrich Langes remains Chief Executive Officer. With this new management structure, the Hamburg lidar specialist wants to grow quickly and sustainably.
Stefan Gros has held senior positions in finance, business transformation and capital markets for 25 years. As CFO, Gros managed the commercial departments of well-known international companies, including private and listed corporations.
Christophe Minster has been working for Ibeo as Program Director for the ibeoNEXT sensor for around three years. Prior to that, Minster spent 20 years with several major automotive suppliers.

In recent years, the number of employees at Ibeo Automotive Systems at the Hamburg, Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Detroit (USA) locations has grown to over 430. The specialist for lidar sensors and associated Perception software systems plans to start series production of solid-state lidar sensors by the end of 2022. The automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG has held a stake in Ibeo since 2016 and AAC Technologies became a shareholder in 2021.
