The Microsoft team previewed a new option for Windows 11 dedicated to gamers.
At the moment, it is only available to users who are part of the Windows Insider program, but we can already see a preview of its operation.
Windows will have a new game bar
Microsoft is testing a new Game Bar in Windows 11 for users using controllers. As you can see in the image above, the idea is that this new bar gives you access to the game’s shortcuts.
This new bar will automatically appear when the user connects an Xbox controller to PC with Windows 11. But don’t worry, it won’t interrupt your game, since it won’t be visible all the time.
You can use it when you are not in a game, to scroll through the accesses of the games you have recently played, since the bar can show you up to 3 options. And of course, it will also be available if you need to keep it handy when you’re in the middle of a game. In that case, you will find all the game widgets and some basic functions.
In order for the bar to appear, whether you’re in a game or not, you have to press the Xbox button on your controller. Although it seems like a small change, it has interesting improvements over the classic Windows Game Bar,
The current option is designed for those who use the keyboard and mouse, and instead the new bar seeks to improve the experience of those who prefer to play with a controller from their computer. Windows 11. One detail to keep in mind is that this new dynamic is only available to users who are members of the Insiders program, and who are using the latest version of Windows from the Dev and Beta channels.
So we will have to wait for it to pass the different phases of testing so that it is implemented in a future update of Windows 11.
