where are the super devices that fine at least 100 euros

Within the fixed speed cameras, we find two that are especially effective: the section radars (measuring the average speed from point A to point B) and the multirail radars.

And with regard to seconds, they are already being used to detect speeding, as is the case, for example, in the city of Madrid.

What is a multi-lane radar and how does it work?

M-30 from Madrid

These fixed super speed cameras are characterized by controlling not only one or several specific lanes, but also all lanes of the road and, sometimes, in both directions, regardless of which way it is placed.

In addition, they more accurately identify the offender, even for example if several vehicles are driving in parallel. And they can also be adapted to control other infractions such as whether the vehicle has passed the ITV or if it has valid insurance.

Nevertheless, those installed by the Madrid City Council only operate in one directionwhere they are located, although they do detect infractions in any of the lanes of the road they monitor.

Like the rest of the fixed radars, they do not depend on the direct control of a traffic agent and can be installed both on gantries and on poles on the side of the road.

The multilane radars of Madrid

in the city of Madrid, and according to updated data from the City Councilson three multi-lane radars installed in the capital. All are located on the urban ring road M-30.

The last of these multi-lane radars to arrive It was the one located at km 27 of Avenida de la Ilustracion, in the direction of Carretera del Pardo (east-west). It premiered in 2019 and has been sanctioned since the beginning of October of that year.

Although there was already a radar at that point, due to an accident it ceased to be operational. So the council chose to renew it with a cinemometer with this technology, adding it to the other two already operational.

Fines of up to 600 euros and six points on the license

The area of the M-30 where the multi-lane radars of Avenida de la Ilustracion and Carretera del Pardo are located (which control both directions since each one is located in one direction of traffic) is limited to 90 km / h.

For his part, the M-30 tunnelat the height of the San Isidro Bridge, jumps when the limits are exceeded. 70 km / h.

Since the fines for speeding vary depending on how much the limit is exceeded, the penalties can be the following in both cases, according to traffic regulations and that the Madrid council applies:

On the other hand, if the excess speed is very high, it would also be incurring a crime against traffic. And since the M-30 is always an urban highway, this is imposed when the limit is exceeded by more than 60 km/h, as stipulated in the article 379 of the Penal Code.

That is to say, that in the first case (limit to 90 km/h) it would be considered a crime if we circulate from 151 km/h onwards. And in the second (limit to 70 km/h) if you drive at 131 km/h or more.

In this case, it not only involves the administrative fine (500 or 600 euros) and the subtraction of points (six), but also carries prison sentences of three to six months or fine from six to 12 months or work for the benefit of the community from 31 to 90 days.

And in the same way he is sorry with the driving license withdrawal between more than one year and up to four.
