Second generation of AirTag in planning!

Apple is planning a second generation of AirTag. 9to5Mac reported that the AirTags are selling very well and Apple is therefore planning a second generation.

AirTags are very well received!

Famed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that the pandemic is receding and people want to travel more and secure their luggage. As a result, more AirTags are sold. Increasing sales figures mean that Apple could bring a second generation of AirTags onto the market.

Kuo estimates that around 20 million units will be sold in 2021 and around 35 million will be sold in the first half of 2022. Apple keeps updating the AirTags. On the one hand, this is because the Apple trackers could also be used maliciously. There were repeated reports that unfortunately people were tracked again and again. Apple has made improvements since then and that’s been well received by users.

The second generation could be even more compact than the first version. The built-in speaker could also be louder. Who knows maybe there are newer features.
