The game has been available on the eShop for 2 weeks already, and yet no player has yet managed to complete it.
While this game is a must-have and fan-favorite, this one has been giving players trouble since it released on Nintendo Switch on June 8th. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords made its big comeback in a remastered version on Nintendo’s hybrid console in a version supposed to sublimate the title of Bioware originally released in 2005. This iteration of the game officially restores for the first time content that had been deleted from the original opus, but to be able to access it, you still have to finish it. But for the moment, no player has been able to achieve this feat.
The dark side of the remaster
There is no question here of an immeasurable difficulty having made the game endless by the players. Players have tried everything, and yet, KOTOR II on Switch is really impossible to finish. The cause: a bug breaking the game at its source and preventing any progress towards halfway through the game.
It’s not uncommon to see games released in poor condition, but coming from a port of a game, this result is surprising (and disappointing). Unsurprisingly, players went to ask the studio developing the game if it was aware of this major problem. Aspyr decided to play the honesty card and replied that they are fully aware of the problem and in the process of fixing it as soon as possible in the next patch of the game.
Yes, we are aware and our dev team is working on delivering the patch as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Knights of the Old Republic II had its share of problems when it was originally released in 2005, but making this kind of mistake again 17 years later at a time when technology is well advanced shows a clear lack of effort on the part of the teams at Aspyr. It is therefore to be hoped that the patch will arrive quickly enough to allow players to continue their adventure.
Aspyr is also in charge of the realization ofun remake PS5 du Knights of the Old Republic original, whose release date has not yet been announced. Hopefully, this new title will be released without insurmountable bugs…
